My Story

Hi there. I’m Lexy, the founder and principal designer here at Celestial Sense. While I have been involved in the world of jewelry for a while now, Celestial Sense is the first shop I’ve opened completely on my own. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about this project, and I hope you enjoy our stellar selection of unique, keepsake jewelry pieces.

Throughout my life, I have been endlessly inspired by the expansive nature of our universe. When I was a child, I would lay in our backyard for hours just staring at the stars and planets, trying to count satellites as they slowly roamed overhead. As I gazed into the velvety depths of the sky, I knew there was more to life than what we could see, and I felt empowered and inspired to be a part of something so much bigger than me.

In college, I had the pleasure of taking a few astronomy courses, which reinforced my love for all things celestial. I also began learning more about tarot and astrology, which helped me feel connected to myself and to the energy of those around me. All of these exciting concepts had me constantly daydreaming – my notebooks for school were filled with sketches of planets, aliens, galaxies, and magical creatures in the margins. I even started designing my own jewelry – maybe you can see where this is going.

I never stopped sketching, but I did start working behind the scenes at an eCommerce jewelry company. I wanted to learn more about the world of business before I dared to open a store of my own. I experienced everything from creating a website to ordering materials and packing orders, and I learned so much! Because of that experience, I was able to start and grow my store, build a team of eCommerce experts to help, and find balance in both business and designing. Today, I am able to offer myself and my work to you fully. The universe is an incredible place.

Now, I find inspiration through reading science fiction novels, spending time outside, enjoying time with my family, fiddling with my jewelry designs, and, yes, still gazing at the stars as much as possible.
